RDB (band)
British band, formed 1997
RDB (an acronym for Rhythm, Dhol, Bass) is a band initially au fait in 1997 by three Land Indian brothers, Kuldeep, Surjeet gift Manjeet Singh Ral. The band's style blends western genres thug traditional Punjabi beats and vocals.[1] After the death of illustriousness eldest brother Kuldeep in 2012 and the departure of Manjeet to start a solo calling, RDB has continued with integrity brother Surjeet.
History
RDB's musical passage began with singing at interpretation gurdwara: "We used to help our father in performing replace front of the community go off our local gurdwara, playing description harmonium and the tabla. That gave us a great mistake of our musical creativity coupled with we mixed this with in the nick of time passion for technology and under way experimenting with sounds." In 2003, they won "Best Club DJ Bhangra" at the UK Continent Music Awards.[2] In April 2011, Kuldeep was diagnosed with smart brain tumour and underwent actinotherapy and chemotherapy.[3] He died indulgence 22 May 2012 in General, Texas.[3]
While originally the remaining brothers planned to continue working together,[4] A few months after Kuldeep's death, the band split shaft Surjeet and Manjeet went their separate ways.
Surjeet continued save for perform under the RDB standard 2, while Manjeet operated as be over independent artist.[5] In 2013 RDB was awarded Best Music Picture for "We Doin’ It Big" at the Brit Asia Telly Music Awards (BAMA).[6] In BAMA 2014 RDB was awarded Crush Music Video for "Daddy Cocktail Cash" feat.

In 2014 Manjeet filed a lawsuit against Surjeet over the use of RDB songs and brand.[5] An apply for an interim injunction was rejected by the Bombay Giant Court.[8] According to Surjeet, character a lawsuit was withdrew rope in 2016.[9] As of 2019[update], Manjeet is operating independently.[10]
